Seems to be the trend these days, with less-than-qualified people being given positions for which they have absolutely no qualifications -- or barely any qualifications. Right now I'm working on a musical theatre production with a music director who doesn't know the difference between a sharp and a flat, but who was hired because she has a lot of energy and flaps her hands around a great deal. I'm the pianist (with a B.Mus.) who has to just sit there and play my little keyboard and let the "big people" do the "real" work. Unfair, totally, but that's the way society is. The yobs are on top with a vengeance, so this show (with music I love) is turning into a Lenten penance.
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

Our world is proof of the Peter Principle.
